The CargoSpaceGallery engages with the central questions of the project title PREPARED // REVIVED: experiment, further development, transformation. Is everything prepared — or nothing? Everything revived? Not yet resurrected — or already alive?
During LP26, the cultural cargo vessel Lorin becomes a walkable space for sound, image, installation and perception. The CargoSpaceGallery is the continuously accessible visual and spatial format.
Ramon De Marco
Sound artist Ramon De Marco develops a multidimensional sound installation through generative sound design with a focus on sound in space.
The source material consists of elements from the Cage–Wili programme of the CargoSpaceConcerts as well as field recordings. Loudspeakers become musical instruments, creating specific spatial listening situations.
Nathan Gruno
Nathan Gruno Nathan Gruno presents his current work Ankerpunkt – the Little Boat, a kinetic sculpture conceived as a model for a larger project currently in development. A small metal boat is installed on a mechanical base and can be set in motion by a crank. It begins to move rhythmically — as if drifting on invisible water. Accompanying the work, a message-in-a-bottle intervention invites visitors to leave thoughts, wishes and messages. In this way, a growing archive of voices emerges.
The work understands itself as a work in progress between construction, imagination and lived experience.
Corentin Boubay
In the cargo space of the cultural vessel Lorin, Corentin Boubay’s video installation explores the dialogue between two grand pianos.
Macroscopic projections of the strings transform the architecture of the instruments into a vibrating resonant space.
A connection between chamber music and digital arts that makes the mechanical intimacy and the raw trembling of sound visible.
Anmari Mëtsa Yabi Wili
Part of the CargoSpaceGallery is the continuously growing water installation from LP25, evolving in unpredictable ways and possibly having already generated new forms of life. She shapes the space as a walkable art installation.
Guido Wasser’s photographic work girl with bullet earring appears occasionally in the space in the form of applied art — a subtle reference to Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring in the colours of Ukraine.
